The Atkins School District has two schools at the secondary level that encompass grades 5-12. 

Atkins Middle School (grades 5-8)

Atkins Middle School provides instruction for fifth-eighth grade students.  In order to ensure that all students develop into independent, creative problem-solvers with a passion for life-long learning Atkins Middle School provides daily instruction in math, science, language arts, social studies, and computer science based upon the Arkansas Academic Standards.  Pre-Advanced Placement courses are also available. Students receive instruction in art, music, physical education, computer technology, and library/media.  Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of athletics and extracurricular activities.  Atkins Middle School is dedicated to fostering a culture of reading by participating in the Reading Initiative for Student Excellence (R.I.S.E.).  

The Atkins Middle School 1:1 initiative provides all students with access to a Lenovo Think Pad PC.  

Atkins High School (grades 9-12)

Students attending Atkins High School have many options as they prepare for college and careers.  Courses are offered in English, math, science, social studies, fine arts, business, family and career, physical education, and health.  Atkins High School offers advanced placement courses and concurrent credit as well as a variety of athletics and extracurricular activities.   Atkins High School offers programs of study in which students may earn certificates and become completers.  Students may choose to pursue other programs of study in grades 11-12 through the ATU Career Center.  All career center courses have concurrent credit through Arkansas Tech University- Ozark Campus.  Atkins High School is dedicated to fostering a culture of reading by participating in the Reading Initiative for Student Excellence (R.I.S.E.).

Atkins High School is proud to be participating in the Arkansas Advanced Initiative for Math and Science (AAIMS) program that has proven in the past 8 years that students have increased their qualifying AP scores for college credit.  Arkansas currently ranks 4th in the US in percent increase of student receiving qualifying scores.  Also, Arkansas is 3rd in the US in percent increase of students taking classes and receiving qualifying scores.  Please help our Atkins High School Faculty with encouraging your child to enroll in our AP classes.  We offer AP classes in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies.
