The Atkins School District is thrilled to announce that Atkins Elementary School has achieved a letter grade of “B” in the 2024 Arkansas Simulated School Rating System—an impressive two-letter grade increase from the school’s previous “D” rating in 2023. Atkins Middle School and Atkins High School maintained their letter grades of a "B" for AMS and a "C" for AHS. Both AMS and AHS were only a mere 15 points away from achieving the next highest letter grade!

This significant progress is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and resilience of the entire school community. From the unwavering commitment of our teachers and support staff to the leadership provided by school administrators, and the daily dedication of our students—this accomplishment was truly a team effort.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our parents and families. Your continued support, encouragement, and involvement have been instrumental in helping our students grow, achieve, and believe in their potential.

“This kind of progress doesn’t happen by accident,” said Superintendent Dr. Lori Edgin. “It’s the result of intentional effort, by our students, staff and families. We are proud of the entire Atkins community for what they’ve accomplished and even more excited about what’s ahead.”

The new rating marks more than just academic improvement—it symbolizes the power of collaboration, the impact of high expectations, and a renewed momentum toward excellence. Atkins School District remains focused on providing a safe, supportive, and high-quality learning environment where every student can thrive.
